Professor Umar Danbatta, Executive Vice-Chairman of the Communications Commission of Nigeria (NCC), has said that a forensic audit is underway in the country to reduce the cost of data.
The news agency of Nigeria (NAN) has reported that the price of data was reduced in 2019.
He said, the commission needs to get to the root of the fact that consumers are facing data shortages, and the possibility of compensating for incorrect deductions, which might arise from SMS.
"We have instituted, and insisted, despite the reduction in the cost of data, that the forensic audit must continue, and that a conclusion must be drawn.
